If your are looking for more information about what a pre-order is, how our pre-orders work, release dates for Pre-Orders and Cancellations of Pre-Orders ...please read our help section below for more information!
Im really now to the hobby, What is a Pre-Order?
That's an excellent question! In this hobby, as well as in many similar ones like collectible card games, products are launched through a process known as a "Pre-Order".
Games Workshop enforces Pre-Order rules that specify a particular date when customers can "Pre-Order" an item and a separate date, two weeks later, when we can deliver the product to customers.
High-demand products frequently sell out rapidly. When this happens, one of two things usually occurs: it either takes a long time for the product to be restocked. If it's a limited release item, it might never be restocked.
Certain products are produced in limited quantities and will not be manufactured or offered for sale again.
Why do they have pre-orders?
In the hobby of warhammer specifically, there is usually a suppy and a demand. Often there is a greater demand for a product than supply. By Pre-Ordering the product it gives you a chance to lock yourself into the item before it sells out.
When do your pre-orders go live on your site?
We make all of our pre-orders available on our website every Saturday.
All our pre-order products become available just after midnight on Friday night, right as it turns into Saturday. (Eastern Time)
How do I know what will go up for Pre-Order this week?
Every week Games Workshop posts their upcoming Pre-Orders for that week on Warhammercommunity.com The Warhammer Community page is your go to source for all things Warhammer and hobby related. Every Sunday at 1:15 PM eastern time, they post on warhammercommunity.com what will be up for pre-order the upcoming week.
You can also follow our social media pages on Facebook and Instagram. Where we post weekly updates on the releases and we also let everyone know how sought after the items will be and if they will be difficult to obtain or not based on allocations.
Can I cancel my Pre-Order?
Pre-Orders can be cancelled up until the Sunday before the release date.
In an effort to get everyone's order out as quickly as possible, orders are often all-ready staged and pre-packaged ahead of the release date, so it is difficult to cancel an order once it is past that date, so we have a strict no cancellation policy after the Sunday before the release date.
I placed my pre-order, when should I expect it to ship?
According to our trade agreement with Games Workshop, all Games Workshop pre-orders have a two-week pre-order period. We are not permitted to ship or provide the product to customers before the release date.
For larger pre-orders, or more highly demanded products, you might sometimes receive your tracking number before the release date. To ensure all pre-orders are dispatched promptly for the release date, we usually have all orders pre-packaged and ready to ship a week before the release date
How do I know what will be up for Pre-Order this week?
Every week Games Workshop posts on their Warhammercommunity.com Website the weekly Pre-Orders. They normaly announce every pre-order the Sunday before the initial Pre-Order Date at 12:1
. Occasionally, we create shipping labels in advance, but we do not hand them over to USPS or have UPS collect them until the release date.
I placed a Pre-Order, does that mean I am Guaranteed the item?
Certainly, but there's a very small possibility of a no! When we display our pre-order products on the website, we only list quantities that match the allocation confirmed by Games Workshop. We don't sell more than we're allocated.
The week before the pre-order period starts, we send a request to Games Workshop specifying the number of product copies we want. The day before the products are go live on our website , Games Workshop lets us know how many copies we are "allocated" or assured to receive.
However, nothing is ever completely perfect. Most of the time, about 99%, everything goes as planned. But occasionally, Games Workshop might make an error, or one of our shipments might get lost on its way to us, leading to a slight chance that our allocated amount could be reduced. - We would inform you of the situation and provide a full refund. Although it can be disappointing, it does occur, albeit infrequently.
What is a ***Second Round Pre-Order item?
Once our initial stock of pre-order items is sold out, we often have the chance to buy additional quantities. However, the cost for these is slightly higher. As a result, when we relist these products on our site, they are offered at a 10% discount instead of our usual 15% discount. The cancellation policy for second round pre-orders remains the same as for standard pre-orders.
If i place an order with a Pre-Order item in and and a non Pre-Order item in the order, will they ship separately?
We do not separate orders to ship items individually. If you want an in-stock item to be shipped faster, purchase it separately from any pre-order items. If your order includes a pre-order item, the whole order will be held until it can be fully fulfilled on the release date. We understand you might have added that item to your cart for free shipping, but we cannot split orders.
I tried to place a pre-order right when they went live and they sold out before i had the chance to buy it
Certain pre-orders are in high demand, and the availability of these products can be quite limited, leading to them selling out rapidly. I recommend setting up a back-in-stock notification for such items. When a product is sold out on our website, there's a "Notify when back in stock" button on the product page. Once the product is restocked, you will receive an automated email notification.
